Although I typically loathe battle-of-the-bands competition, this one actually seems pretty worthwhile: Beginning this Friday, January 16, at Herman's Hideaway, Alice 105.9 will be hosting a ten-week search for the area's best band. Out of 32 contestants, one band will claim a prize package valued at over $15K, specifically $2,500 in cash, one weekend recording session at Coupe Studios, a co-headlining slot at a "major Denver venue," as the station puts it, as well as a customized PR package, among other prizes. Not sure if the station is still accepting entries, but it does have a
MySpace pageset up. Click, click, click. Off you go, mates.
