King Rat has set a date for the release of its new album, Everything Burns. Fifteen years after forming, the longstanding punk act, led by Luke Schmaltz, will issue its sixth full-length at Bender's Tavern, with White Leather and Suburban Hostage. The outfit plans to unveil the new tunes on Friday, April 2, by playing Everything Burns -- which will be included in the price of admission ($6 in advance, $8 day of show) -- in its entirety, followed by a second set of songs called out by fans at the show from the first five records. We haven't heard the disc yet, but Schmaltz has been talking this one up for the better part of the last year, so if this turns out to be the band's best platter yet, we won't be too surprised. And if you make it out to the show, plan on getting your drink on. Schmaltz and company, legendary imbibers, will be sending some shots out to the crowd.
