Marina and the Diamonds make us all kinds of "Starstrukk" with their 3OH!3 cover

And the winner for oddest yet most exhilarating cover of a song from a Colorado-based act is ... Marina and the Diamonds, an act we were turned onto by Perez Hilton, of all people. We caught the group, signed to Alexandra Patsavas' Chop Shop imprint, a few months back at Hilton's One Night In Austin party. Don't remember much terribly impressed and thinking at the time -- fittingly, as it turns out -- Marina and her Diamonds weren't all that memorable. But that was all before we saw this clip from BBC's Radio 1 of the outfit transforming 3OH!3's "Starstrukk" into a wistful, downcast and subsequently poignant ditty in a way that we're certain was never intended. Listen to how Marina voice quivers ever so slightly as she sings the words, "L-O-V-E is just another word I'll never learn to pronounce."
