As one half of the brains behind the underground house label Juiced Music, J.Caprice has been spinning records since 1996 and has built his name on funky, soulful house beats. Now hailing from Dallas, J.Caprice has performed all over the country, and in 2008 formed High Maintenance with fellow DJ/producer 4peace; he’s had his tracks spun (as both himself and High Maintenance) by such names as Tommy Largo, Jason Hodges, Smokingroove and more. And every Wednesday, he hosts a mix show titled J.Caprice — Live @ Juiced Studios on boost.fm that’s quickly attaining legendary status. But you won’t need an Internet connection to see him spin at Underground Therapy on Saturday, May 28, with resident DJs Brett Starr and Rescue, at a new location: 1.21 Jiggawatts at 1432 Tremont Street. The party starts at midnight to accommodate another monthly residency at the Appaloosa Grill, which will feature Seattle’s Pezzner; show up at Therapy with an Appaloosa stamp on your hand and receive a discount at the door.
