It's that time of year again, time for the annual Gathering of the Juggalos. Just in case you were getting worried that you might not have anything to do this summer, this year's Gathering (held in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois), the eleventh annual edition, will offer endless entertainment in the form of wrestling, comedy, seminars and, of course, music, with more than one hundred acts, including Denver's Axe Murder Boys once again.
Oh, and if this year's seventeen-minute (three minutes longer than last year's) infomercial is to be believed, you will "probably get laid" (seems to us like a bold statement for an informercial). All in all it sounds like fun, you know, hanging out with the family and attending seminars and what not.
In celebration of this wonderful annual event, we've thoroughly researched the history of Insane Clown Posse and the Juggalo culture and will now share our knowledge with you in the following easy to read infograph.
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
