Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
Who? There are two types of memory these days. There is real memory, where the wafting aroma from taking trash out can transport you back under that bridge where you first tried heroin in the 80s. Then there is internet memory, whereby the deafening buzz of the newest thing relieves you of all faculty to conjure up what you ate for breakfast any given morning. So it is totally understandable that you can't remember the sounds of either the Spinto Band or Tapes 'n Tapes (pictured), even if you championed their work on mix CDs at music club fewer than twelve months ago. So here's your chance to reacquaint yourself with the two acts:
The Spinto Band recently announced another national tour and will be coming through Denver to play at Larimer Lounge on March 6.
Tapes 'n Tapes also recently announced their spring tour schedule, and it includes a stop Bluebird Theater on May 17.
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
