Total Ghost

Here's the fake backstory: German pop duo Chön and Biktor have a few favorite things — notably, traveling to space, courting women in extremely ill-advised ways and making '80s electro jamz. The actual story is that three dudes from Denver — Randy Washington (Chön), Adam Nix (Biktor) and Evan Nix — started making videos for a fake Euro-trash band and posting them on YouTube. As these things are wont to do, the clips attracted more attention than anyone expected, and now Total Ghost is a real, live band with shows and more videos and albums (this is the second). The record itself is studiously idiotic, and the production is silly retro. The best song is probably "Forever Midnight," featuring Chella Negro, but quality is very much not the point.
