Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Jeffrey Sweetin has been making an effort to set the record straight on his agency's approach to medical marijuana, most notably in a wide-ranging interview with Westword's Joel Warner. And members of the medical marijuana community -- even those nervous about HB 1284, the regulatory measure that goes back before the Colorado House judiciary committee today -- seem heartened by his attempt at outreach. Note that on Friday, advocate Jessica Corry, speaking for herself and fellow attorney Rob Corry, publicly invited Sweetin to lunch.
The Corrys can deliver this message personally today, when Sweetin will be a guest on host David Sirota's AM 760 morning program. Sirota, reached via e-mail, confirms that Sweetin is slated to appear at 9 a.m., adding that he's agreed to take questions from listeners. The conversation could get heated -- but at least Sweetin may wind up with a free meal.
