Offense Report No: 07-92859 Date: 2-11-07 Type of Offense: Felony Menacing Location of Offense: Northwest Denver Weapon/Tool Used: Black rubber mallet with wooden handle

Officer G. Scott Riggs reports:

"Investigation disclosed that the victim's [a 33-year-old man and two female passengers] were in a traffic accident with family members of the suspect. The suspect [a North Denver 29-year-old] came to the scene of the accident and retrieved a mallet from the listed vehicle. The suspect went over to the victims, who were sitting in their vehicle, and attempted to open the front driver-side and passenger-side doors. While attempting to enter the vehicle, the suspect was threatening the victims verbally and with the mallet. The victims feared for their lives. Neighborhood survey completed."

Offense Report No: 07-85407 Date: 2-08-07 Type of Offense: Assault/Criminal Mischief Location of Offense: 1300 N/B I-25 Weapon/Tool Used: None

Officer D. Barnhill reports:

"Investigation revealed that the victim [a 30-year-old male from Lakewood] and the suspect got into an accident at the listed location. Once both drivers pulled over their vehicles, the suspect [a 23-year-old from Denver] ran up to the victim's car, punched out the driver and passenger side windows and assaulted the victim by punching him several times in the face. The suspect was arrested." -- Jared Jacang Maher
