Is Josh McDaniels disrespecting Brandon Marshall? Good!

The latest chapter in the Brandon Marshall Immaturity Follies? Broncos coach Josh McDaniels, who'd earlier relegated the pouty wide receiver to the second team, is now saying he isn't sure if BM will even play during Saturday's preseason contest with the Seattle Seahawks.

Is this an example of childishness meeting childishness head-on? Maybe. But it's also wholly justified. Marshall conceded during a recent whine session with the media that he hardly knows the playbook -- an indication that he's not even willing to go through the motions of preparing for the 2009 campaign as a Bronco. Given that level of commitment, McDaniels might as well sit Marshall this weekend, and for the foreseeable future. After all, the Broncos are going to blow anyhow this season, and throwing Marshall onto the field under those conditions might only get him hurt.

On second thought....
