Last month, we noted that the JV Bandit would make the varsity soon, given the rate at which he was allegedly knocking over banks. And the suspect, named by the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force, which has bestowed monikers on the likes of the Formerly Known as the Perennial Bandit Bandit and many others, is said to have struck again.

Look below for details and photos from this crime, as well as its predecessor.

This time around, this particular junior is thought to have lifted cash from a Chase Bank branch in Wheat Ridge -- and surveillance photos certainly add credence to this theory:

The surveillance photos from what's thought to have been the JV Bandit's previous job, also in Wheat Ridge, are larger and more telling. Page down to see them, along with the FBI release about this week's stick-up:

The Wheat Ridge Police Department and FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) responded to a bank robbery which occurred on

Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at approximately 5:42 p.m. at the

Chase Bank 3850 North Wadsworth Blvd. Wheat Ridge, Colorado

The suspect is described as a white male, 28 to 35 years of age, approximately 5'6" to 5'10", 135 to 155 lbs., blue eyes, strawberry hair, and a possible lazy eye.

The suspect handed the teller a note and demanded money.

This suspect is known as the "JV Bandit".

The investigation has revealed that this same person is responsible for four previous robberies:

07/13/2010 - 5:45 pm 1st Bank 4350 Wadsworth Blvd. Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80030

10/9/2008 - 3:20 pm Chase Bank 14417 West Colfax Ave. Lakewood, CO 80232

10/14/2008 - 3:20 pm Key Bank 1222 Arapahoe Street Golden, CO 80401

11/7/2008 - 1:00 pm U.S. Bank 1801 Jackson Street Golden, CO 80401

In the U.S. Bank robbery the described male was wearing a letter jacket, which led the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force to dub the bank robber the "JV Bandit."

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20 year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
