There have been a lot of weird assemblages on the steps of the State Capitol. But few have been stranger than the group that gathered there yesterday for a rally marking Colorado Tourism Day. Those represented included Governor John Hickenlooper, Miss Colorado Hannah Porter and so many random mascots for area sports teams, schools and institutions that passersby can be forgiven for mistaking the event for the upcoming Rocky Mountain Fur Con. Our Danielle Lirette was on hand to witness the spectacle. Check out her photos and captions below.
