Yesterday's post about four metro-area hit-and-runs that took place within 24 hours proved to be a conversation starter, in part because so many similar incidents have taken place in Denver and beyond lately. This reader feels that automatically blaming drivers for causing such accidents (as opposed to leaving them) may not be justified.
Samantha Kneedler writes:
Why is the issue of pedestrians crossing wherever they feel like it not being brought up? I'm willing to bet a couple weren't even the cars fault, not saying it's ok for the drivers to not stop and get help, but I'm sure everyone who has driven on Colfax or Federal in their life has had to dodge someone at some point.
