Readers: Pre-Occupied with Kelsey Whipple's coverage

Westword staffer Kelsey Whipple had been on the job just a few days when she started covering Occupy Denver -- and the beat has had its hazards, including getting shot in the ass, as she revealed in this three-month Occupy Denver retrospective.

Writes Notwoofka:

Interesting personal touch Kelsey...I like it. Westword definitely has the best coverage of OD in town, and it's pretty much been thanks to you.

But Nothanx doesn't appreciate her efforts -- or taking one for the team:

Lame. Kelsey whipped is trying to capitalize from the occupy. Your writings are boring and bland, go away.
The first protester Kelsey Whipple met at Occupy Denver? Corey Donahue. Read her profile of Denver's would-be Don Quixote, "Tilting at Windmills," here.

KEEP WESTWORD FREE... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
