Sean Halla Allegedly Shot Brother Over $30 Testosterone Price Increase

The Twitter profile photo of Loveland's Jason Halla makes it clear that he works out.

A lot.

How did he build up his muscles to such an impressive degree? He apparently got some assistance from testosterone supplements — products that police say led to a violent turn of events.

Jason is currently clinging to life after being shot by his brother, Sean Halla, reportedly over a $30 price increase in testosterone supplements.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Loveland Reporter-Herald, the incident took place Sunday, May 1, on the 3100 block of Sedgwick Circle. The area is captured in the following interactive graphic; if you have problems seeing the image, click "View on Google Maps."

While there, Sean apparently became unhappy at the price Jason wanted to charge him for a testosterone supplement the Loveland Police Department described in a press release as a controlled substance.

Sean's girlfriend told police that Jason had charged Sean $180 for the item a week and a half earlier — and Sean didn't like learning the price had gone up $30.

As the men moved from the house to Sean's pickup truck, the verbal argument became physical.

In an interview with investigators, Sean is quoted as saying that Jason punched him in the face — after which Sean obtained a handgun from the vehicle.

The first shot Sean fired was into the ground, he maintains.

But the second one hit Jason in the neck.

Jason was transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies, where, at last report, he was in critical condition.

In the meantime, Sean was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault. He's due in court on Friday morning, May 6.
