Well, at least the cartoon’s creators should be the award winners. For more than a decade, South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have drawn inspiration from their Colorado childhoods (using local legends Jake Jabs, Ron Zappolo and Casa Bonita) to create a cartoon that has shaped an entire generation’s perception and interest of life in Denver.
