Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
Every family has one: the annoying relative who mans the video camera on holidays, wandering from room to room and narrating the boring gathering in a voice that sounds as if he's welcoming three-year-olds to their first day of preschool.
Annoying relative: "Let's go to the kitchen! I wonder who's in there?! ... It's Nana and Uncle Andrew! ... Mmmm, smells delicious! What are you guys doing in here?"
Nana: "Making stuffing, asshole."
Just in case you spent your Thanksgiving away from home this year -- and therefore missed the chance to star in your own family's holiday video -- we scoured YouTube and found a random local family's Thanksgiving video that will make you thankful you did.
Happy holidays!
More from our Videos archive: "Thanksgiving spent alone is better than watching Uncle Terry destroy Grandma's bone china."
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
