On Tuesday, November 5, voters across the country will cast their ballots. While this election cycle has been full of reasons to stress, some local bars and restaurants are stepping in to help make the democratic process a little more palate-pleasing.
Here's where you can score deals on food and drinks in the Denver area on Election Day:
Adrift Tiki Bar: Show your “I voted” sticker at 218 South Broadway to receive a free mystery shot. It's also Tiki Tuesday, which means all-day happy-hour food and drink specials are available for everyone.
Chef Zorba's: This longtime Congress Park staple at 2626 East 12th Avenue is offering iced sugar cookies decorated with the word "VOTE" for $4.95 each through November 5.
Illegal Pete's: All locations are offering a free draft beer or house margarita with the purchase of one adult entree for anyone wearing an "I voted" sticker.
Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar: Get happy hour pricing on drinks from open to close at all Jax locations on Election Day. Specials include $6 oyster shooters, $8 signature Jax cocktails, such as the Cucumber Lemon Press, and $10 Tito’s martinis. While the drinks are available all day, happy hour food is only available during the regular happy hour time, 4 to 6 p.m.
Olive & Finch and Little Finch: Voting tastes sweeter at these local spots where you can get a free cookie on November 5 if you're wearing an "I voted" sticker.
Our Mutual Friend: Get 10 percent off your tab at the taproom (including pours, merch and beer to go) when you wear an "I voted" sticker on November 5.
The Post Chicken & Beer: Like its sister brand, Jax, all locations of the Post will offer happy hour pricing on drinks all day November 5 including $5 well drinks, classic margaritas, Post beer flights and glasses of house wine; two-for-one pints of Post craft beer; or $8 lemon-basil martinis or boilermakers. Happy hour food is only available from 2 to 6 p.m.
Rebel Bread: This bakery at 675 South Broadway is offering a free chocolate chip cookie to the first 75 customers with an "I voted" sticker on November 5.
Slater’s 50/50: The Denver location of this chain known for indulgent burgers and milkshakes is serving up $7 Slater’s mules, margaritas, Bacon Old Fashioneds and spiked lemonade from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day, along with $6 glasses of wine, $2 off draft beer, and bites from $5 to $8.
Snooze A.M. Eatery: All Snooze locations are offering a free pancake with the purchase of any full-sized entree on Election Day if you're wearing a visible "I voted" sticker.
