It's been a tough few months for Phil Goodlaxson, owner of Corvus Coffee, who took on a new space at 1740 South Broadway, just two blocks from Corvus's original home at 1947 South Broadway -- and then had some challenges getting that location open. But on Friday, he revealed that Corvus had finally gotten its certificate of occupancy that day. And after a "refresher/training for everyone this weekend," he said, "we will be opening on Monday!"
That's 6:30 a.m. today; Corvus will be pouring from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. seven days a week. In advance of the opening, we sent photographer Brandon Marshall to Corvus Coffee, to give you a taste of the new place. See also: Corvus Coffee will open a shop on South Broadway
"I have a business degree, I did the corporate life for a bit, and when I'd had enough of that, I started looking for something that would be an artisan craft. I started getting more and more interested in coffee," Goodlaxson told us before opening his original spot in 2012. And he's just gotten more interested in the art of coffee as these photos show.
