In the very same Aurora strip mall where we found Korean barbecue restaurant Sae Jong Kwan dark yesterday, we also spotted a new development.
Sweet Dream opened at 2680 South Havana Street, pumping out frozen yogurt in a space painted pink and adorned with modern art and white furniture that looks like it belongs in a design studio.
Frozen yogurt shops have proliferated aggressively in Denver this year, and most of them are offering a similar shtick: self-serve yogurts with mix-ins. Sweet Dream is self-serve, too, but in addition to some unique flavors -- like graham cracker pie and cinnamon roll -- the spot is offering something different: waffles.
Yes, like the breakfast kind, only for dessert. Those waffles come in a variety of flavors, like cinnamon, banana and cheese.
The new shop is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
