Most Denverites know chef-restaurateur Justin Bronson for his meat-centric marvels at Masterpiece Delicatessen and Old Major. But when Bronson joined the team behind Honor Society Handcrafted Eatery, which opened last summer in a building behind Union Station, Brunson's focus was all raw foods and healthy substitutions. Eventually, though, Honor Society ended up with a menu that's "80 percent healthy and 20 percent indulgent." But that's not the only split at the eatery: the decor strikes a balance between "industrial and homespun," reports Gretchen Kurtz in her review of Honor Society Handcrafted. And the service lies somewhere between fast-casual and fine-dining. Photographer Danielle Lirette dropped by to capture the contrasts.
