As the old saying goes, it takes a village to throw a kick-ass music festival...or something like that. This Saturday, June 25, thousands of Colorado music fans thronged to the Golden Triangle to check out the 22nd Westword Music Showcase and its eclectic lineup of national acts like Dillon Francis, Cold War Kids, Matt and Kim, HEALTH and more, as well as about 100 of Denver's best local bands. Whether these fans are Showcase virgins or lifers, bros or hippies – everyone stuck it out through a brief rain and power outages for the scene and the music, and everyone was sweaty.
