Smashing Pumpkins leads this week’s new show announcements. The ’90s alt-rock band fronted by Billy Corgan will make its way to Colorado this October for a show at 1STBANK Center. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday. Yonder Mountain String Band, Aesop Rock, the Faint and Mayer Hawthorne are among the other new dates that are on sale now or about to go on sale this weekend. The Smashing Pumpkins, who released Oceania last June, will be at the 1STBANK Center on Tuesday, October 16 in support of the album. General admission floor and reserved bowl tickets ($34.95-$49.95) go on sale on Friday, August 31 at 10 a.m. A limited amount of VIP packages are available through the band’s website.

Fresh off its Kinfolk Celebration this past weekend, Nederland’s Yonder Mountain String Band has announced a four-night New Year’s run at the Boulder Theater from Friday, December 28 to Monday, December 31. General admission tickets are $35 for the first three nights and New Year’s Eve tickets are $65. Tickets go on sale on Friday, August 31 at 10 a.m.

In other new shows this week: Aesop Rock hits the Fox Theatre on Wednesday, October 10 with DJ Sonic & Big Wiz and Dark Time Sunshine. General admission tickets ($20) are on sale now. In support of the impending re-release of Danse Macabre, the Faint kicks off its upcoming tour in Denver at the Ogden Theatre on Thursday, November 8. Tickets ($19.50) are on sale now. Mayer Hawthorne is also headlining a date at the Ogden with Harlan. Tickets ($20) for that one are also on sale now.
