Find out at Denvers first Green Festival, where you can learn the ins and outs of sustainable living. Activities include live concerts and nationally renowned speakers like Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman, Pangea CEO Joshua Onysko, Global Exchange co-founder Kevin Danaher and Green America director Alisa Gravitz. There will also be an organic beer and wine garden, a sustainable marketplace and a series of hands-on workshops about composting, green cleaning, home-energy audits and the like.
The festival runs today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street. Tickets are $15 for two days or $10 for union members, students, seniors and those who come by bike or bus. For specifics, go to www.greenfestivals.org.
