No one will complain tonight when Buntport Theater brings back one of its greatest hits — 2012’s clever Tommy Lee Jones Goes to Opera Alone, in which four actors animate an intricate life-sized Tommy Lee Jones puppet that they built and brought to life with help from woodworker Kagen Schaefer and robotics expert Corey Milner. Little has changed in the production outside of some technical tweaks, notes Bunporter Brian Colonna.

“When we revisit any material, we tend to make minor adjustments here and there to make things tighter,” he explains. “In the case of Tommy, it’s refining some of the puppeteering — little gestural additions and whatnot to make his movements more natural.” But, Colonna adds, the troupe is having a blast reviving the show…and the puppet: “It’s a fun show for us to do, because we all get to play smaller parts of the whole — literally, the arms, legs and head of Tommy Lee Jones.”

Whether you missed it the first time around or just can’t get enough, consider this Tommy Lee Jones rerun a serendipitous opportunity. Join Tommy Lee as he eats pie in a diner and talks about life; the show runs through January at Buntport, 717 Lipan Street. For tickets, $13 to $16 (or $20 for opening night, and pay-what-you-can on January 15 and 26), go to buntport.com or call 720-956-1388.

Sat., Jan. 18, 3 p.m.; Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sun., Jan. 25, 3 p.m.; Mon., Jan. 26, 8 p.m. Starts: Jan. 18. Continues through Jan. 31, 2014
