The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $25,000 by August 9.
Aren’t fireworks on the Fourth of July a little…cliched? Trick question! Anyone who said yes is either un-American (and probably a terrorist) or has never seen the Estes Park Independence Day Celebration. “The setting can’t be beat. To see the fireworks in this expansive sky with sound reverberating off the huge peaks — it’s amazing!” says Suzy Blackhurst of the Estes Park Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The celebration blasts off today with a 7 a.m. pancake breakfast and continues through a full roster of activities including the Colorado Arabian Horse Competition at Stanley Park, the Coolest Car show in Bond Park, and a patriotic concert by the Estes Park Village Band at the Performance Park Amphitheater. Fireworks go off over Lake Estes. Visit http://estesparkcvb.com/calendar.cfm.
