Come Saturday at 2 p.m., the parking lot at Ninth and Bannock will morph into a food orgy, when nearly a dozen Denver street-food trucks and carts commune on the pavement to feed a bumper crop of gastronauts, all of whom will be part of the Food Truck Warriors kick-off party. In addition to foodstuffs from Street Eats, the Crock Spot, Biscuit Bus, Steuben’s, Max Lunch, Brava Pizzeria, Stick It to Me, The Bon Bon Buggy, Mikes2 Kitchen, Mythos Greek and Sweet Revenge Cupcakes, the soiree, which continues through 9 p.m., will also pimp a beer garden and tap truck from Left Hand Brewing, kids’ activities, and DJ music by Ginger Perry and Christine West.
Admission to the food fest is free, but food from the trucks — and beer from the garden — isn’t, which is where we come in.
We’re having a little contest, one that will reward two lucky Cafe Society readers with $25 each in free food and/or beer at the Food Truck Warriors launch party.
Want to win? All you have to do is tell us, in ten words or less, why you deserve to stuff your gullet. We’ll announce the two winners on Friday afternoon.
