Although no official word has been handed down, it sounds like (die) Pilot may be on its last legs. “We have had a lot of crap to deal with in the past few months,” reports frontman Eugene Brown. “And we do not know if we will continue forward in 2009.” Sad news indeed if the outfit decides to call it a day. Another great band that had a good run. However things pan out, the band finished four new songs for an EP titled A Kind and Gentle Blasphemy, which it has made available on its MySpace page. “Even though we may not continue with this project,” adds Brown, “we would still like people to hear what we worked very hard on last year.” I can’t imagine that I’m not alone in hoping that these guys don’t go gently into that good night.
