Last year L’Asie Fusion Bistro changed its name — to Odyssey Asian Bistro + Sushi. Now it’s changed names again, as well as management and menu. The Sixth Avenue spot is now called Odyssey Italian Restaurant, and the focus is on Italian fare.
For his “cucina Italiana,” owner/chef Ignazio Mulei has created a menu of classic Italian dishes that run between $13 and $19, except for the Italian wines. “We know we are a neighborhood restaurant, and we want to stay local,” says General Manager Mike Mulei.
And that means appealing to the locals both with food at a reasonable price point, and by featuring live music two nights a week.
If the formula works, it could mean this location’s identity crisis is finally over.
