Stimulus and/or recession- themed dinners are springing up around town, pulling valueconomy eaters from their homes into seats at local restaurants. L’Atelier has a four-course recession dinner; Parisi offers deals every week.
Mojitos Cuban Bistro, at 1120 East Sixth Avenue (the former home of Mel’s, and Piscos, and Chives, and Dudley’s) jumped on board about three weeks ago. It’s now featuring a Wine Stimulus Plan, where on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you score a free bottle of wine if you order two dinner entrees.
Why the deal? As co-owner Karla Romero explains, “We are doing it because during these economic times people are looking for more value for their dining-out dollars.”
And Mojitos is delivering.
