The first ever Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Marathon and Half Marathon, slated to take place on Sunday, October 17, is going to have 26 bands playing at each mile along the 13.1-mile and 26.2-mile courses. So the folks at Competitor Group, who have launched other Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathons at cities around the country, are looking for some local talent to play to some 14,000 runners and spectators. Event organizers are looking upbeat, high energy music, everything from from salsa to reggae, R&B to alternative, classic rock to country. Some bands might get the opportunity to be featured on local and national television.
Bands interested in playing the marathon can apply now. Sound, stage and promotion will be provided.
