Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
Each year, CultureHaus — a social and educational support group of the Denver Art Museum — hosts its signature party and fundraiser. For this year’s bash, the theme is Art of Passion, and CultureHaus has worked hard to create an event that will tantalize all five senses while raising money to support the arts.
So what can attendees expect? To sate the stomach while heating up the room, CultureHaus is offering the sensual taste of Nyataimori — aka “naked sushi,” the art of arranging pieces of sushi atop nude men and women — in conjunction with an oyster bar (oysters are renowned for their alleged aphrodisiac properties). Massage and live figure painting will help ignite the senses of touch and sight; to learn more, you’ll just have to show up. Art of Passion also includes a silent auction and special offers from event sponsors. The party starts tonight at 7 p.m. at the DAM’s Ponti Hall, 100 West 14th Avenue Parkway; tickets are $35 to $45.
