Back in January, we showed you video of local glass blower Ben “Spice” Crowley doing his thing at the Heady Glass Gallery and Studios in Englewood. Spice has since moved on, and gallery owner Chris Keller has since brought two nationally known artists to Colorado: Dawnk and Train Wreck.

Since moving to Colorado a few months ago, the two have been busy pumping out high-tech, clear-production glass pieces that are being shipped from Colorado all over the country. But recently we got the two to take time out of their schedule and talk with us on camera about blowing glass and to collaborate on a beautiful rainbow-colored worked micro oil rig.

The roughly $450 miniature bong took about two hours to complete, but we’ve shortened it down to about seven minutes and are giving it to you for free. The video, that is.

Medical patients and recreational puffers: look for a review of a similar (and less expensive) version of the piece soon over at Westword’s marijuana blog, Mile Highs and Lows.
