Here’s what’s hot this week in music on the Front Range: On the concert front, new shows featuring Girl Talk, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Battles, Bon Iver and Feist, LMFAO, Destroyer, Anders Osborne and Classix were announced; the Swayback, Coles Whalen and Strip the Stars got spins on local radio; and recent albums from Grimes, Tyga and Fun. were the top sellers at our local record stores. As reported earlier, Girl Talk, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Battles will headline this year’s Westword Music Showcase, and Bon Iver and Feist at Red Rocks. Tickets for the former go on sale Monday, March 5, while the latter goes on sale this Friday, March 2.

LMFAO hits Red Rocks on Memorial Day (Monday, May 28) with Far East Movement, The Quest Crew, Sidney Samson, Eva Simons and Natalia Kills. Tickets ($49.50/$59.50) go on sale on Saturday, March 3 at 10 a.m. Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers visits Red Rocks with Emmylou Harris and Arlo Guthrie on Wednesday, July 18. Tickets ($45-$95) on Friday, March 2 at 10 a.m.

Finally, the Bluebird has a series of new shows that go on sale this Saturday, March 3 at 10 a.m., including Queensryche frontman Geoff Tate Solo Acoustic Band on Sunday, April 29, Anders Osborne on Friday, May 18, Destroyer on Saturday, June 9 and Classix on Saturday, June 23.
