Monolith Festival co-founder Matt Fecher kicks off the first of his New Music Mondays tonight at the Larimer Lounge (2721 Larimer St.). Fecher, who hosts the night as DJ Hot to Death, will be bringing in local artists, media, tastemakers, DJs and friends every Monday. In addition to having two guest DJs per week, music fans also can bring down vinyl or iPods a share a few of their favorite cuts. There’s no cover and it runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Here’s the rundown of the guest DJs for the next few weeks:
Mon., Dec. 1, 2008: Jim McTurnan (Cat-A-Tac) + Joshua Novak (Songwriter)
Mon., Dec. 8, 2008: Brian F. Johnson (Marquee Magazine) + Nichole Covington (Gothic Theater)
Mon., Dec. 15, 2008: Kurt Ottaway (Overcasters) + MondoGarage (Garage/Spy Fi)
Mon., Dec. 22, 2008: Chris Martucci (Laylights) + Miles & Baumer
Mon., Jan. 5, 2009: Eryc Eyl (Westword)
Mon., Jan. 12, 2009: Chris “Citrus” Sauthoff (U.S. Pipe) + Julian Wakefield
Mon., Jan. 19, 2009: Heather Browne (Blogger, I am Fuel/You Are Friends)
