Designer, seamstress and girl-about-town Baily Rose makes dreamy, dressy dresses that are truly one-of-a-kind and wrap themselves around your personality like a bed of ethereal fairy clover. Really. And because the holidays are nigh and the days are short, she’s opening the doors of her Maison de Rose for Don We Now Our Gay Apparel, a solstice open house to sell and sew for friends as the night skies trend.

Visit Rose at 1574 York Street, Suite 300, beginning at 4 p.m. today, with the celebration continuing from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, December 20 and 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, December 21, for party-dress and fancy-coat shopping, alterations and gift-buying; Rose says she’ll also read tarot cards, if you’re willing. And haggling is allowed. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.
