In an open letter to fans on gunsnroses.com from 2008, Axl Rose took questions by those criticizing him for soldiering on with GNR without Slash and the other dudes head on: “Why keep the name? I’m literally the last man standing. Not bragging, not proud. It’s been a fucking nightmare but I didn’t leave Guns and I didn’t drive others out,” he wrote before adding a few graphs later, “I don’t see myself as solely Guns but I do see myself as the only one from the past making the effort to take it forward whether anyone approves or not…” That’s all well and good, but for folks like YMMV, who posted our comment of the day, if you’re paying to see GNR at this point, you get what you pay for:
