If the Lumineers haven’t already gone supernova, by god, they’re about to. The locally-based outfit, which got its start humbly playing shows at the Meadowlark, just received word that their hit single “Ho Hey” has officially sold one million copies, while the self-titled album the song appears on is close to going gold, having sold nearly 400,000 copies since its release in April on the Dualtone imprint. Tonight the act is slated to appear on the Late Show with David Letterman, and this December before ringing in the New Year with two sold out shows at the Ogden Theatre with Nathaniel Rateliff, Shovels and Rope and Paper Bird, the outfit will embark on a half dozen dates supporting the Dave Matthews Band. Ho hey indeed.
