Denver’s Hope Communities has been finding ways to get local low-income, working individuals and families into affordable housing and better jobs since 1980, and that’s more than enough cause to celebrate. Feed Your Face, Find a Place, the organization’s thirtieth-anniversary fundraiser, will do that in a style befitting its overall theme of new beginnings: on the first day of summer, with live music and grills a-blazin’. Sample scrumptious ’cue from top Colorado barbecue chefs and bid on silent-auction deals and delights today at the Exdo Event Center, 1399 35th Street. Tickets range from $75 to $95; for information, call 303-860-7747, ext. 132, or go straight to www.blacktie-colorado.com to make a reservation.
