The concept of the second annual Green Spaces Eco-Halloween Bash isn’t really a new one: Since time immemorial, or at least in the last century, people have been picking through rag piles, dumpsters, Goodwill stores and Grandma’s attic for the makings of a really cool Halloween costume. But, says Jennie Nevin of Green Spaces Colorado, this event, a green party with beverages by Green Drinks, organic eats and live music, is truly a product of the back-to-basics 21st century.

“Last year’s event was a great success,” she says. “People came in wearing reused materials for Halloween costumes. We had a fashion show with a runway, and everyone got to vote for their favorites. The idea is to bring our network of green businesses and ecopreneurs together for a fun event.” It’ll be pretty much the same drill this year, from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at Green Spaces, 1368 26th Street.

Admission is $5 at the door for folks in costume and $10 for everyone else, with one drink included in the price; additional beverages will cost you a $2 donation. RSVP at info@greenspacescolorado.com or call 303-720-6850.
Fri., Oct. 29, 7:30-11 p.m., 2010
