The holidays can be a downright stressful, terrible time of year for some people — and the best remedy for that might very well be some filthy humor. That’s the theory, anyway, behind Chuck Roy & His Naughty Little Elves, a holiday extravaganza set to make you re-think the very idea of a white Christmas.

Don’t let the holiday theme spoil your expectations: This show is organized to feature the raunchiest comedy possible, and some of Denver’s best comedians — Greg Baumhauer, Nathan Lund and Nora Lynch, to name just a few — will rise to the challenge. A joke-off at the end will see who can come up with the nastiest Christmas-related cocaine story. “It’s a release from holiday stress,” says host Roy. “Just some nice, dirty jokes.” This is the third go-around for the show, and Roy says the goal is to make it nastier than the first two.

It all goes down tonight at 8 p.m. at the Comedy Works, 1226 15th Street; admission is $12. An encore presentation will take place at the Comedy Works DTC, 5345 Landmark Place in Greenwood Village, on Sunday, December 26. For more information, visit www.comedyworks.com or call 303-595-3637.
