The Pokémon franchise has been taking time away from children’s homework for the past thirteen years, and today, fans will have an opportunity to check out the new games in the series, meet the new Pokémon and have a chance to do some real life Pokéhunting in celebration of the March release of the next two games, Pokémon Black and White.
The Pokévents take place at the Town Center of Aurora, where demos of the upcoming games will be available to check out for the first time. But it’s not just a glorified demo station: Families will also get a chance to watch a free screening of the new movie Pokémon — Zoroark: Master of Illusions and participate in a mall-wide scavenger hunt, character meet-and-greets, and plenty of contests and prize drawings throughout the day. There will also be Pokémon merchandise for sale that’s not typically sold in stores, so Pokémon trainers had better get their wallets in order.
It all goes down today during regular mall hours, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the Town Center of Aurora, 14200 East Alameda Avenue; ad-mission is free. For more information, visit www.simon.com or call 303-344-9764.
