Okay, hands up if you knew the Zac Brown Band was so popular. He’s wildly popular in case you’re wondering. Dude just added another show at Red Rocks thanks to the fact that the first two have already sold out. Oh, and speaking of the Rocks, Sting has announced a June date up there, and we’ve got the word on new shows from (update: Bob Seger), the Black Angels, the XX, Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October, the Joy Formidable, the English Beat, NEEDTOBREATHE and Big Head Todd and the Monsters, as well as a Country Megaticket deal. This Just In: New Concerts and On-Sale Dates


If you’re a fan of the Zac Brown Band and you missed your chance to get tickets for his two shows, the bad news is you’re out of luck — well, unless you don’t mind paying more than face value for the privilege of being in the presence of the bearded wonder. Both of those shows are sold out. The good news is, a third show has been added on Friday, May 10. Tickets for that show ($52-$62) go on sale this Friday, January 25, at 10 a.m.

Sting, who brought his Back to Bass Tour to the Wells Fargo Theatre more than a year ago, returns to town for a show at Red Rocks on Wednesday, June 5. Tickets ($61-$176) go on sale to fan club members on Thursday, January 24, at 10 a.m. and to the public on Monday, January 28 at 10 a.m.

Years after first singing about getting out of Denver, baby, go go, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band are making their way back the Mile High City for a show at the Pepsi Center on Tuesday, April 2, with Joe Walsh. Tickets ($49-$99) go on sale on Saturday, February 2.

After playing a two-night New Year’s Eve stint at the Bluebird Theater, the Black Angels are set to return to the area for a show at the Boulder Theater on Friday, May 10. No word yet on when tickets go on sale for this one.

The XX, who headlined the Boulder Theater last October, are slated to return, as well, for a date at the Fillmore Auditorium on Monday, June 3. No word yet on who will open the show, but tickets ($32.50-$35) go on sale this Friday, January 25, at 10 a.m. at the Fillmore box office or via LiveNation.com.

NEEDTOBREATHE is slated to play a pair of back-to-back shows at the Ogden Theatre on Tuesday, April 23, and Wednesday, April 24, with Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors. Tickets for this show ($29.50) go on sale this Saturday, January 26, at 10 a.m.

The Gothic Theatre has announced a trio of new shows featuring Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October on Wednesday, April 10, the Joy Formidable on Saturday, March 30, and the English Beat on Friday March 15. Tickets for the first two shows ($32.50 and $18.75, respectively) go on sale this Friday, January 25, at 10 a.m., while tickets for the English Beat ($24) go on sale Saturday, January 26, at 10 a.m.

Big Head Todd & the Monsters are planning to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of their record Sister Sweetly in style by the playing the whole record in its entirety at Red Rocks on Saturday, June 8. Tickets for the show ($45.50-$65.50), which will also features Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, go on sale on Friday, January 25, at 10 a.m.

Live Nation and KYGO recently announced the 2013 Country Megaticket, a four-show season-ticket package at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre that includes Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley on Saturday, May 18, Tim McGraw on June 15, Brad Paisley on Thursday, August 1, and Luke Bryan on Saturday, September 21. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, January 26, at 10 a.m. through www.megaticket.com.
