The studio community at Wazee Union, peopled by artists and creatives of all kinds, shows off its diversity to the rest of the world on Second Saturdays — often with fundraisers that showcase the building’s talented denizens. Unfortunately, last week’s Lucky Dog Art Show got snowed out — but it will rise again Friday, March 15, from 3 to 9 p.m.
Eleven artists designed screen-printed gig posters on the canine theme for the show; sales of the limited-edition posters, as well as postcard sets of all the images, will benefit the MaxFund no-kill animal shelter. Maxfund’s adoption van will be on hand for the festivities, which will also feature live music, aerialists and the Pink Tank food truck.
