The age-old method of cheering on a skier by shaking a cowbell in the air above your head has gone digital.
Just in time for the Olympics, a boulder-based company has released an iPhone app that simulates the noise a rattling cowbell makes. Ringing a cowbell is the traditional way of cheering on skiers (it’s hard to make any noise clapping two gloves together). The app, which hit the iTunes store last week, also has an option that allows you to wrap the cowbell in the flag of any country. The designers even spent time in a music studio recording different cowbell sounds to come up with just the right noise.
The app also includes an Olympic event schedule, a live medal counter and twitter feeds from more than 150 Olympians
