On Friday night, July 6, The Fabric Lab celebrated its fifth birthday by throwing Glorification — guerilla fashion shows parading down the streets and in the galleries open for First Friday. Even though a lot of passersby thought it was performance art, Cat hears some of the galleries turned them away. Shame on them — local art should support local art.
Still, a good/drunken time was had by all. Cat ran into the motley crew outside Sliding Door Gallery and Capsule Gallery, where everyone was delighted to see Tran Wills’ brainchild sashaying down Santa Fe Drive. The patrons of El Noa Noa even gave them a standing ovation.
Happy birthday, Tran. You make Denver a special place.
