The FDA recalls thousands of products each year, presumably so that no one gets numb to all the hysteria. But when it’s popcorn that’s been pulled from the shelves, especially during the time of year when popcorn balls and popcorn strands and big bins of popcorn, caramel corn and cheese corn are as popular as spiked eggnog, you should be justifiably worried.

And worried we are: See, Snax in Pax, Inc., which is manufactured and packaged in Kansas, has recalled a variety of popcorn products because of milk products that it failed to disclose on the packaging. Further investigation revealed the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s packaging process. Nice, huh?

In a nutshell, that means that Jay’s Low Fat Caramel Corn, Mike’s Caramel Corn with Peanuts, Mike Sell’s Corn Puffs, Copper Kettle Caramel Corn, Copper Kettle Caramel Puffs, Better Made Caramel Corn, Seyfert’s Caramel Corn and Bulk Caramel Corn, all manufactured at Snax in Pax, have all been Grinched until further notice.

Bah humbug.
