Take it slow. At 11 a.m. today, Slow Food Denver will host a tasting at History Colorado, in conjunction with the current show Food: Our Global Kitchen. At 5 p.m., Slow Food Denver will go global itself when it hosts a free lecture by acclaimed Sicilian chef Fabrizia Lanza at Fuel Cafe. Then at 6:30 p.m., Lanza and Fuel chef/owner Bob Blair will cook up a special dinner with dishes paired with Tasca wines from the Lanza family winery. Tickets for the dinner are $100 per person, including wine, tip and tax; purchase them here.

The Scandinavian dinner series at Trillium returns tonight with a four-course meal by chef/owner Ryan Leinonen devoted to Denmark. The dinner is $70 (plus tax and tip) and includes wine/cocktail/beer pairings. To RSVP, call 303-379-9759.
