When I ran into Bill Ward at Houston’s in early April, he said that his MiniBar, a new watering hole that will be tucked into space under the old Village Inn in Cherry Creek, was moving slowly but steadily along. Now comes news that Ward has set a date fora a grand opening party of May 5, with regular service to the public starting May 8.
Michael Wahaltere is working with Ward as exec chef, consultant and manager. It’s a “tiny slip of space,” he told Lori Midson, that
will “bring New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco energy to the
Cherry Creek restaurant scene.”
Yes, the bar is small, but Ward has done big things with little packages before; he created Slim 7 out of alley space in Larimer Square, space that is now being used for Troy Guard’s TAG, set to open May 18.
