$20,000

Because, you know, we don’t already have enough eatertainment in Denver this weekend to satiate our hunger pains, what with The Great Food Truck Race motoring into the Mile High metropolis and gazillions of Cinco de Mayo celebrations, now comes word that past contestants from Bravo’s Top Chef are making a pit stop in Larimer Square on Saturday, as part of the network’s 21-city, cross-country Top Chef tour.

Several cheftestants are making the rounds, including Season Four runner-up Richard Blais and hometown goddess Kelly Liken, who owns Restaurant Kelly Liken in Vail and was a contestant on Top Chef D.C., where she made it into the top four. Along with cooking demonstrations, which will take place at 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., Blais and Liken will go knife-to-knife in a Quickfire Challenge-style cook-off.

And if you really want to get in on the action, beyond nabbing a front row seat, you can rate their dishes on the Top Chef Facebook page and “spot” dishes from the tour to unlock the “Top Chef Tour” badge on Foodspotting.com.

Saturday’s soiree on the Square will also include prizes, games and ample opportunity for camera shots and autographs.
